Fatal Strike

For fans of FBI investigations, complex mysteries, and suspense

Fatal Strike by DiAnn Mills puts readers right into the middle of an FBI investigation. Set in Galveston, TX, Agents Leah Riesel and Jon Colbert team up to investigate the murder of three law enforcement officials, who were targeted by a gang. The newly paired agents hunt down one eye-witness who is on the run.

Fatal Strike is well researched, and readers will get inside perspective on FBI procedures. As a fan of Diann Mills, this book has a bit of a different feel than her others, but still delivered the excitement and drama that fans expect. While plenty of action, the book feels like a ride along with the two detectives. Fatal Strike follows Leah and Jon, and readers get to put together clues right along side of them. The pair develops a chemistry on and off the job, as both have to face their own fears to find justice in their investigation. I enjoyed the complex mystery and watching Leah and Jon discover how to relate to each other as partners, but also exploring the potential of a more meaningful relationship.

I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
