Targeted in the Swamp by Kerry Johnson is my new favorite book! I showed up for the suspense and stayed for the heart-warming characters.

Laurel Bell’s witness protection cover is blown. Police sergeant Heath Calhoun steps in to protect her, and they go on the run trying to escape the bad guys who will stop at nothing to kill Laurel.

I love the fast-paced energy of this book. Another trope I love is when two characters just meet and are thrown together to outrun danger and stay alive – what is that even called? Love at first sight? A hero protector?  But throw in a raging river, caves, and relentless bad guys and I’m 100% hooked.

The entire Forest Ranger Rescue series is only of my favorites. Be sure to check out the previous books.

Abducted in the Woods by Kerry Johnson is a fantastic, fast-paced suspense story. This is easily my favorite novel by Kerry.

Sarah Brindley witnesses a murder – her own husband. The murderer comes after her and kidnaps her son. Tucker Brindley, her brother-in-law, steps in to protect her and help find her son. But there is danger with every turn of the page.

I love the intensity of this story and was hooked from page one. The plot deals with some darker themes, but the author weaves in hope and second chances all throughout. I never thought I was a fan of second chance romance tropes, but I enjoyed the relationship aspects in this novel. The author took a complicated history between two characters and paved the way for them to find a future together. Abducted in the Woods is definitely a book to move up on your “must-read” list.

Snowstorm Sabotage by Kerry Johnson starts off right in the middle of the action! Everly Raven discovers that she’s being accused of a murder she didn’t commit. She evades two dangerous men and runs into FBI agent (and former husband) Isaac Rhodes. He’s been assigned to find out what’s really going on at the ski resort Everly’s family owns. The two hide out at the resort and dodge danger. But they can’t trust anyone. Someone is trying to sabotage the resort and Everly is on their hit list.

I loved this book from start to finish! So many plot twists, especially the ending. But the romance with Isaac and Everly takes intriguing twists and turns as well. This is a must read for suspense fans. The non-stop action will keep you up reading way past your bedtime!
