For fans of thrillers, plot twists, and danger

Double Take by Lynette Eason will take your breath away. It kicks off what promises to be an intense and action-packed series!

Lainie Jackson is seeing ghosts. After her stalker ex was killed, Lainie starts seeing him pop up in places. But he’s dead, right? Police detective James Cross, also her childhood crush, comes to her rescue to make sure her ex can’t hurt her, whether he’s alive or dead.

Double Take brings action and suspense with every flip of the page. I love James and his over-protective family. But James has some relationship issues to deal with and Lainie needs to learn to trust again. I love the high stakes physical danger and emotional drama woven throughout the story and I can’t wait for more in this series!

Countdown by Lynette Eason offers readers an intriguing thrill ride! Raina Price isn’t who she says she is. She’s been on the run for years, hiding from a stalker. But she comes out of hiding, with the help of US Marshal Vincent Corelli, to protect someone innocent. And once she steps into the light, she becomes a target.

I love this story. There’s quite a bit of drama which adds to the suspense. Readers will go on a journey to uncover the truth about what happened to Raina as she and Vince race to stop a killer from striking again. The romance adds a nice balance, as it’s not rushed. Raina’s been in hiding for so long, she doesn’t know how to let anyone into her life.

The entire Extreme Measures series is fantastic but be sure to check out Countdown and clear your calendar for the weekend. You won’t want to put this novel down.

Critical Threat by Lynette Eason is the third installment in the Extreme Measures series – and this one is extreme! It’s a must-read for suspense and thriller fans.

Grace Billingsley is an FBI behavioral analyst and creates profiles for serial killers. While tracking a killer, he sets his sights on Grace. Sam Monroe is a psychiatrist who specializes in serial killers because his father was one. Grace and Sam team up to stop the killings.

This book as so many twists and turns. Sam is an interesting character because he’s a single dad with two teenagers and must manage a home and a stress-filled demanding job. He also carries a lot of baggage from his father’s actions. Grace also balances her family with her job, and they both feel the pressure of a killer who is so bold to show his many faces to get Grace’s attention.

Definitely check this book out if you like action-packed, intense stories.

I’m generally not a fan of novellas, because I always want a longer story. But these three authors make novellas come alive for compact, exciting and intricate reads. And readers get to see more of their favorite characters. And it’s in one volume, so you get all three stories. Annnnd you won’t want to miss out!

In On the Run by Lynette Eason, readers get more Daria Nevsky! She first appears in Vow of Justice, and eventually works for the FBI as an analyst. Except she’s now a target. Her past comes back to haunt her as someone with ties to her criminal father surface and she goes on the run. After an accident, she winds up in the hospital where she meets Dr. Ryker Donahue (remember him from Hostile Intent?) Ryker refuses to let Daria be alone in her plight and helps to keep her safe while she puts the pieces together to discover why she’s the target. You can’t beat the action and suspense in this story right from page one.

In Deadly Objective, Lynn H. Blackburn tells the story of Emily Dixon (Gil is her brother from Malicious Intent.) Emily is a physical therapist that is assigned to work with the vice president’s son. Secret Service Agent Liam Harper is also assigned to the vice president’s son and intervenes when the family is attacked. I love the chemistry between the two main characters as they try to get to know each other while surrounded by danger on all sides.

In Caught in the Crosshairs, Natalie Walters gives Claudia Gallegos the spotlight. Her sister is Pecca Gallegos from Silent Shadows. Claudia is a CIA agent, but things go awry when she walks in on the murder of a foreign dignitary. Ari Blackman is a colleague in the CIA assigned to help her, but Claudia isn’t one to trust anyone, let alone Ari with the reputation for being a bit of a player. But Ari manages to save her life on more than one occasion and gradually works his way into her heart. Plenty of action and suspense blends nicely with the romance to make this a fantastic story.

Be sure to check out Targeted to get three amazing stories filled with action, suspense, and heart.

Crossfire by Lynette Eason starts out with a literal bang. Julianna Jamerson is a hostage negotiator and from page one, she’s negotiating with a madman threatening a courtroom full of people. Clay Fox’s sister is one of the trapped victims. But things take a terrifying turn when a killer uses hostage situations to threaten both Julianna and her sister, Dottie. Clay steps in to protect them both, but it’s obvious that someone from Julianna’s past wants to make her suffer.

This story is intense. But despite meeting during extreme circumstances, Julianna and Clay’s relationship is sweet. Clay helps Julianna unpack her past from a time when she was on the flip side of a hostage situation. This story has the right balance of action, romance and drama. This is definitely a must for suspense fans!

Impending Strike is book two in the new Lynette Eason Elite Guardians Collection by Sami A. Abrams. This story focuses on Lizzie Tremaine and Charlie Lee. If you read the original series by Lynette, you might remember these two bodyguards popping in from time to time. In Impending Strike, Charlie is undercover and winds up in the hospital with amnesia. He can’t remember the last few years of his life, including Lizzie. Lizzie becomes his bodyguard after it becomes evident that Charlie overheard something, and someone wants to make sure he never remembers.

This book has all of the action plus heart-warming characters that will keep readers turning pages. Sami is an expert storyteller, weaving relatable characters with intense suspense. I love Lizzie’s vulnerability and Charlie’s change as he regains his memories. He starts to realize what’s important in life. Plus, it’s great to check in on all of the original Elite Guardians. I was such a fan of the original series and Impending Strike brings the same action-packed suspense with new characters and plenty of intrigue.

Be sure to check out Impending Strike for a fast-paced and exciting read.

Driving Force Kate AngeloDriving Force by Kate Angelo, presented by Lynette Eason, is a must-read for fans of fast-paced suspense. This story picks up where the original Lynette Eason Elite Guardians series left off. Readers will love to revisit their favorite characters while getting to meet the new Elite Guardians, an all-female bodyguard agency.

Christina Sherman is an ex-Army sniper-turned-bodyguard. She meets Grey Parker at a public event where there is an assassination attempt on the governor. Grey gets a front row seat to watch Christina in action, and he has an assignment of his own for her. He hires the Elite Guardians to protect his partner while Grey undergoes an experimental surgery. He was injured in action when exposed to a deadly toxin which left him in a wheelchair. If the surgery is a success, he will be able to walk again. But little does Christina know that Grey’s partner, Boss, is a highly specialized Belgian Malinois who is trained to sniff out the toxin that caused his injury. A toxin that if fallen into the wrong hands would spell disaster.

This story has plenty of action and suspense but add Boss to the equation and the story becomes doubly intriguing. Boss isn’t your average dog, and Christina finds herself in danger more times than she can count trying to keep Boss from getting kidnapped. Or is that dog-napped?

The characters definitely drive the story alongside the action-packed plot. I love the budding romance between Grey and Christina. Both have complex pasts that have kept them focused on their jobs. But their chemistry is flammable, and I enjoyed watching a few sparks ignite.

If you love high-octane action with heart-warming characters, look no further. Be sure to check out this incredible debut novel from Kate Angelo. I can’t wait to read more from her in the future.

I received an ebook review copy of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Following the Trail by Lynette EasonFollowing the Trail by Lynette Eason gives readers an intriguing mystery to solve. Lacey Jefferson heads back to her hometown of Timber Creek. She can’t get ahold of her sister and wants to track her down. But when her ex-boyfriend Creed Payne asks if she can use her search and rescue dog to locate a missing child, she soon uncovers that her sister was murdered.  The killer doesn’t want Lacey investigating and she just wants to find out the truth. Her sister had some secrets and Lacey and Creed seek to solve the case.

This story is action-packed! Lacey and Creed dodge bullets as they keep searching for answers. But the more the danger increases, so does the romantic tension between Lacey and Creed. They need to overcome past hurts to find a future together. I also love Scarlett, Lacey’s search and rescue dog. I might have done an online search to see if I could adopt a redbone coonhound!

Overall this story brings the suspense with Lacey’s mission to find the truth about her sister. The ending plot twists make this a must-read!

Life Flight by Lynette Eason is a must-read for suspense and thriller fans. Intense and fast-paced, this story captivated me from page one. Penny Carlton is a helicopter pilot who becomes the target of a killer. FBI Special Agent Holt Satterfield is tracking the killer and teams up with Penny to keep her safe.

This story has everything I want in a thriller. Plot twists, danger, creepy criminals, action, and suspense all kept me hooked. But I still found time in the midst of the danger and drama to fall in love with the characters. Penny makes a fierce heroine and she saves the day on several occasions. She’s not helpless by any means. Holt has his own family struggles but discovers his love for Penny as the killer closes in.

You can’t go wrong with any of Lynette’s novels, but this is her finest story yet! I highly recommend this all suspense-lovers!

Mountain Fugitive by Lynette Eason brings the suspense, and then adds more. Dr. Katherine Gilroy lives a quiet life in her mountain town, but stumbles into the middle of a shootout. She comes to the aid of US Marshal Dominic O’Ryan, who is in pursuit of a fugitive who took down his partner. Katherine’s life intersects with Dominic’s mission when her brother is accused of murder and the killer targets Katherine.

This action-pack novel is pure excitement from start to finish. I love a strong heroine, and Katherine definitely holds her own under pressure. I like the whirlwind romance between Dominic and Katherine – nothing brings a couple together than trying to stay alive with a killer on the loose.

Definitely a five star suspense-filled read for me!
