For working military dogs, exotic settings, and non-stop danger

Chaos features Steffani Webb writing in Ronie Kendig’s A Breed Apart story world. For a debut novel, I can’t wait to see what Steffani does next!

Rio Silva wants to prove herself, but going on a mission to find her missing relatives in the Philippines wasn’t exactly part of her plan. Not to mention teaming up with the mysterious and aloof Catha McGowan. Together with Chaos, a retired working military dog, they face the jungle and some pretty serious bad guys to free Rio’s aunt and uncle from captivity.

I loved this story from start to finish. The banter between Rio and “Ireland” was spot on, the action and suspense kept me hooked and of course, Chaos steals the show.  I highly recommend Chaos for all suspense and thriller fans. Bonus for audiobook fans – the dual narrators made this story come alive. Great narration.

Havoc by Ronie Kendig gives readers more military working dogs! If you loved the original A Breed Apart series, you’ll love this spin-off. Ronie’s military thrillers are my favorite, and having working dogs just adds to the adventure. In Havoc, readers meet Crew Gatlin and his trained Belgium Malinois, Havoc. After being injured in combat, Crew and Havoc take a job in the movie biz, where he meets stunt double Vienna Foxcroft. But things go from bad to worse when the movie crew is attacked in a foreign country.

There is never a dull moment in Havoc. I love the suspense and twists all the way until the end. I love the chemistry between Crew and Vienna. She’s tough as nails, but Crew manages to get past her self-imposed armor (not that he doesn’t have any baggage of his own). And naturally, Havoc steals the show.

This is a great start to the new series! I can’t wait for Chaos, which introduces a new up and coming author Steffani Webb.
