Christmas K-9 Patrol gives readers novellas from two great authors – Lynette Eason and Lenora Worth. In Deadly Christmas Trap, Lynette brings readers a cold case in the cold of winter. Cheyenne Chen uncovers a deadly secret in the woods, and Jack Donadio steps in to protect her. In Dangerous Holiday Manhunt, US Marshal Lorelai Danvers gets stranded in a snowstorm while on an investigation and winds up in a manhunt with Drake Corbin. Someone is on his ranch and wants him dead.

Both stories are action-packed and full of danger, drama, and romance. I’ve not read anything by Lenora Worth, and love that her hero is a little bit older. But she really knows how to bring the drama! And Lynette’s stories never fail to entertain and keep you guessing who the bad guy is until the very end. If you need bingeable reads this holiday season, definitely check out Christmas K-9 Patrol.

If you love action, suspense, and danger – look no further than Threat of Revenge by Jessica R. Patch. The story follows Jenna Morrow and her K-9 partner Augie. Someone is threatening Jenna, and it’s a mystery. No one knows she’s in town, and the attacks are personal–like someone knows intimate details of her life. Clay Miller is a local rancher who steps in to protect her while they track down the assailant.

This book is so action-packed right from the start, with plenty of plot twists. Jenna and Clay have their obstacles to love, which only adds to the tension. Of course, I love the dogs! If you love suspense, you’ll want to move this book to the top of your TBR list. I listened to the audio version, and the narration worked well and brought the story to life.

If you love fast-paced suspense, serial killer plotlines, lots of relationship drama, and working police dogs, look no further than Tracing Killer Evidence by Jodie Bailey. Isabella Whitmore is a forensic artist who becomes a victim in an attack by a serial killer. Who comes to her rescue? Her former fiancé Liam Berringer. Together they need to figure out who the killer is before he strikes again.

I loved the storyline on this one. At first I thought the “meet-cute” might be too coincidental in the beginning, but the author wove all the the couple’s past issues into their current predicament and I liked the way it all unfolded. Lots of drama, unexpected twists, and characters with heart made the story a must-read for me!

I did listen to the audiobook version and thought the narration made the story come alive.

Cold Case Peril by Maggie K. Black is a fantastic, fast-paced story for suspense fans. Micah Landon is a former Marine, but now owns his own business training therapy dogs. When someone tries to run him off the road, Officer Lucy Lopez steps in. She knows someone is after Micah, and together they work to solve a cold case from Micah’s past. Someone doesn’t want them finding out the truth.

I love the danger and pacing for this story – it captured my attention and had me hooked from the beginning. I have a therapy dog, and love that Micah breeds and trains therapy dogs – who doesn’t love golden retrievers running around?!? The theme also resonated with me – Micah tries to help his brother who refuses to accept unconditional love. Overall, this is a great story that checks all the boxes for an exciting must-read romantic suspense.

I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrator. It was a male narrator, which was interesting as most romantic suspense narrators are female voices, but it worked for this story and really brought Micah’s character to life.
