On the Edge of Trust brings readers back to Logan Point! If you’re like me, you remember the original Logan Point series by Patricia Bradley…it remains one of my favorites to this day. But this story focuses on Tori Mitchell, a true crimes podcaster who ticks off a killer with her investigative reporting. Someone is out to get her – maybe even a few people. When her family life and her work life collide, she heads to Logan Point. She wasn’t expecting to stay long, but meets Scott Sinclair, who jumps in to help her investigation – and keep her safe.

This story has it all – an intriguing plot, danger, a hunky yet wounded hero, and lots of suspense. I enjoyed the story from the first to last page. The author weaves an intricate mystery into a small-town setting with heartwarming characters you’ll love to root for. And there are a few cameo appearances from characters from the original Logan Point series. I highly recommend On the Edge of Trust for fans of small-town romantic suspense.

I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Where Secrets Lie by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker brings readers back to Tupelo Grove. (I think it helps to read book 1 in the series, just FYI.) Savannah and Hez try to pick up the pieces of their lives and fragile relationship, but when Hez is framed for something he didn’t do, Savannah questions everything. She’s named the new president of the university, but the more she investigates, the more evidence she finds regarding a dangerous smuggling organization. Savannah stands to lose everything, including the university, Hez, and her sister.

I loved this story! There’s plenty of drama and mystery to keep a suspense fan like me hooked. But there also is a lot emotion in this story (#nospoilers). It caught me by surprise and took me for an emotional rollercoaster ride. I really love the Coble/Acker tag-team concept and it works so well. Not sure other authors could team up so well. There’s a nice mix of legal action combined with romantic suspense, giving readers the best of both worlds from the two authors. Where Secrets Lie also sets the stage for an even bigger mystery for the next installment (translation: I Hate Cliff Hangers).

I received an audiobook copy to review, and I love the narrator! The story is fairly fast-paced and made for the perfect audiobook. I’d pick this format if you like audio versions.

Fragile Designs by Colleen Coble has become one of my favorites from the author. Colleen writes suspense mixed with romance and family drama – and this family has plenty of secrets to keep suspense fans up all night.

Carly Harris is a widow. Her husband was murdered, leaving Carly and their son Noah behind. But the mystery behind the murder remains…until Carly discovers what the killer was after – a rare and priceless find in Carly’s possession. The only person she can trust with the secret find is Lucas Bennett, her not-so-friendly neighbor and police detective. But as danger escalates, colossal secrets are revealed and the couple fights to the end to protect Carly’s family.

I loved this book from start to finish. Just when you think you’ve figured it all out – BAM – another twist knocks you over or a crazy secret changes the whole story. I love a good family drama, and this has a host of crazy family members, relationship drama, and tension woven throughout. I’ve always been a fan of Colleen Coble, but this one is going down as one of my favorites.

Definitely check out Fragile Designs. For audiobook fans: I thought the narrator really brought the story to life. I recommend the audio version, and I’m picky about my narrators so this was a win for me. Karen Peakes did a great job with it!
