What We Hide by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker gives readers an intriguing mystery. Savannah Webster is in deep trouble. She’s been accused of murder, and she turns towards the best attorney she knows, her ex-husband, Hez. While trying to clear Savannah’s name, they start to uncover secret after dangerous secret.

I love this kickoff to the series and love novels where everyone is a suspect. Readers get the best from both authors. Coble brings the suspense mixed with heartwarming characters, and Acker brings the legal twists and turns.  The emotional drama grips readers with Savannah and Hez having to deal with their past head on. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

For fans of complex mysteries, intriguing storylines and heart-warming characters

Lethal Intent gives readers an intriguing story! Caroline Braggs is an attorney who takes a job with a research laboratory as their inside counsel. She dives into the world of experimental research for developing life-saving treatments and drugs. But she begins to discover that the data doesn’t add up, and several key employees have suddenly died. The more she digs, the more danger she finds herself in. She also finds her relationship with Brandon Lancaster in jeopardy because of her job.

I love the characters in this novel. Brandon has given up his life and career to help care for foster children. Caroline starts to realize what’s important to her after watching Brandon in action. The storyline is also fascinating. Cara Putman did a lot of research on genetic therapies and Car-T cell therapies. The book had lots of suspenseful moments, but not as much as some of the other books by this author. Much of the story focused on Brandon and Caroline’s relationship. Lots of characters from prior novels have cameos, which I always enjoy!

Definitely check out this thought-provoking and intense new novel from Cara Putman.

Overall Rating:
4 stars (I liked it a lot and would definitely recommend)

Suspense Rating:
4 stars (lots of action and suspense to keep me intrigued)

Delayed Justice is the third installment in the Hidden Justice series. It has a different feel from the other novels, but might be the best one yet. While not as suspense driven as the other novels, Delayed Justice dives into Jaime Nichol’s story. Abused as a child, years later Jaime has to come to terms with facing the demons of her past so she can find freedom in her future. She brings charges against her abuser, and the story evolves as Jaime discovers just how crucial faith and friends are in the healing process.

Delayed Justice deals with the ugly side of life by weaving threads of hope throughout. Cara writes deep and rich characters that engage readers on an intimate level. I enjoyed the emotionally-gripping story while watching Jaime transformation from start to finish. With the #MeToo movement in the current headlines, this story is timely and tackles the topic of sexual abuse head on while bringing hope and faith to the forefront. I definitely recommend Delayed Justice.

Review: Breach of Trust https://bestinsuspense.com/review/review-breach-of-trust/ Sat, 26 Jan 2019 17:56:29 +0000 http://bestinsuspense.wpcomstaging.com/?p=188 If you love legal thrillers, look no further than the Atlanta Justice series.

If you love legal thrillers, look no further
than the Atlanta Justice series. Breach
of Trust
is the third in the trilogy, and centers around corporate
litigator Mia Shaw. She discovers her friend has been murdered and Mia goes
full force in pursuit of justice for the man accused of his murder. But Noah
Ramirez thinks the man is being framed. The story unfolds in a tale of a corporate
scandal with danger with every turn of the page. Mia and Noah seem to be on
opposite sides, but join forces in search of the truth.

Breach of Trust might just
be the best in this series. Lots of plot twists keep the reader’s head spinning
until the very end. Just when you think everything is resolved and danger is
averted, another twist pulls the reader back in. Noah and Mia’s chemistry make
the story complete, without being too overdone on the romance side of things. Mia’s
character gets thrown a lot of challenges, and her inner strength develops as
she faces battles in and out of the courtroom. Also, as a bonus the reader gets
to check in on Kate and Sophie from previous novels in the series. I enjoyed Breach of Trust and highly recommend it
for fans of suspense and legal mysteries.

copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are
