No Unturned Stone David James Warren

For fans of time travel and suspense, look no further than the Rembrandt Stone series. Book two is just as exciting as the first installment. In No Unturned Stone, readers get more insight into why Rembrandt is on a mission that involves time traveling to the past to solve cold cases that he never closed. Readers also realize that with every visit to the past, Rembrandt changes something in his “present.” Is he ever going to find the right timeline to bring him back to his wife and daughter – I’ll have to wait for the next in the series to find out!

The series so far has been full of intrigue and drama! I love that Rem gets a second chance to get some of his old cases right, but with each time he travels to the past, he has to untangle the time line when he gets back. This is a great adventure series for suspense fans. I’ve also enjoyed the audio. Shout out to James Rubart for his great narration.

Overall Rating:
5 stars (I loved it, couldn’t put it down)

Suspense Rating:
5 stars (Non-stop edge-of-your-seat suspense from start to finish)

For fans of police detective novels and time travel

Cast the First Stone is a time-traveling adventure story. What would happen if you were able to go back in time and fix your mistakes? This is the question facing Rembrandt Stone. As an ex-police detective, he has a stack of cold cases haunting him. But the one case that has eaten away at his soul is a series of bombings at a café. Rembrandt receives the gift of a watch, and when the watch works, it ticks back time. He finds himself right back in the middle of the café bombing investigation. Of course, as any good time traveler fan know, if you change something in the past it sets the future into a different trajectory.

“I might be able to travel through time, but clearly I’ve brought my demons with me.”
