Active Defense

Active Defense had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole novel. From start to finish, I had no idea who the bad guys were or why anyone would want to kill surgeon Heather Fontaine. Yet the attacks continue and Travis Walker steps in to keep her secure.

The Gold Digger

The Gold Digger explores some strange events from LaPorte, IN in the early 1900’s, centering around Belle Gunness and some of her suspicious behaviors. She’s a widower twice-over, and she takes out personal ads looking for a husband. But when men show up to her farm, they never heard from again.

Point of Danger

I love the plot twists in this book! Lots of red herrings made me think just about anyone could be the culprit.

Backlash

I loved End Game, and somehow Back Lash is even better! Rachel Dylan brought more action, more danger, and all the plot twists I could handle.

The Red Ribbon

Another novel in the True Color series – this one tackles The Hillsville Courthouse Massacre of 1912. Pepper Basham sets readers right into the historical setting through her attention to the scenery, customs, and dialect of the times. The true crimes story spills all of the details about some feuding families in an Appalachian mountain town. A seemingly innocent kiss at a corn-shucking contests leads to a bloody massacre, with outlaws on the run and a small town thrown into the spotlight.

Nine

Nine by Rachelle Dekker drops readers into the middle of the action. A woman and a teenager are being chased through the woods by men with guns. The girl barely escapes but has no memories of who she is and only a vague idea of who she can trust. Zoe Johnson finds the lost girl, Lucy, and takes her in. But Zoe doesn’t realize that Lucy is no ordinary girl and the entire government will stop at nothing to bring Lucy back into their custody.
