Woman in Shadow Carrie Stuart Parks

Woman in Shadow

Woman in Shadow by Carrie Stuart Parks is a fantastic mystery story and has the suspense level of a thriller. It has the feel of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None – the kind of story where a murderer is on the loose and you as the reader have no idea who it is. ... Continue reading

The Chase Lisa Harris

The Chase

The Chase by Lisa Harris picks up three months after The Escape. I think readers would be ok jumping into The Chase without reading the first story, but I can’t handle reading out of order and you’d miss a few key things. The Chase brings Madison James and Jonas Quinn together again, this time to ... Continue reading

Rising Danger Jerusha Agen

Rising Danger

Rising Danger by Jerusha Agen lives up to its title. Tension is high from start to finish. Bristol Bachmann works for an elite organization called Phoenix that handles a variety of K-9 teams. Toby is Bristol’s black lab that excels in bomb detection.

Evidence of Innocence

This story is the definition of a great romantic suspense. It had the perfect balance of both suspense and romance. I definitely felt the danger while the mystery surrounding the murder sucked me into the story. Lots of action kept me flipping pages.

Aftermath Terri Blackstock

Aftermath

I’m a fan of the author, and this story is what readers expect from a Terri Blackstock novel. She has a way of creating characters that work their way into your heart, but she doesn’t shy away from the suspense. Aftermath mixes danger and high stakes action with intense emotions during the aftermath of a terrible tragedy.
