Talk about a complex and intriguing thriller! Fatal Pattern draws readers in with its suspense and epic plot twists, but readers will fall in love with the main characters along the way.
The opening line sets the tone for the entire novel. “The cold edge of the blade kissed Tori Crew’s throat, drawing a rivulet of blood that began its decent down her neck.” I mean, it doesn’t get more intense than this. Tori is on a mission to uncover her past. She has no memories of the night her parents were murdered. But now, someone is hunting her as she closes in on the truth. Homicide detective Blade St. James realizes his past is interwoven with Tori’s and together they work to uncover past secrets and lies.
I love everything about this story. Fast-paced, yet in-depth and complex, this story had me on the edge of my seat to the very last page. I can’t wait for book three in the series! Girl Lost is a Christy finalist and is definitely worth reading before Fatal Pattern. The entire series is a must read for thriller and suspense fans.
