Rising Danger by Jerusha Agen lives up to its title. Tension is high from start to finish. Bristol Bachmann works for an elite organization called Phoenix that handles a variety of K-9 teams. Toby is Bristol’s black lab that excels in bomb detection.
This story is the definition of a great romantic suspense. It had the perfect balance of both suspense and romance. I definitely felt the danger while the mystery surrounding the murder sucked me into the story. Lots of action kept me flipping pages.

I’m a fan of the author, and this story is what readers expect from a Terri Blackstock novel. She has a way of creating characters that work their way into your heart, but she doesn’t shy away from the suspense.
