Hunting an Arsonist Jessica R. Patch
Forensic mechanic Helena Rutherford is investigating a serial arsonist targeting young women when her own house is set ablaze, trapping her inside. But the discovery of her missing best friend’s bones among the ashes upends everything, drawing them into a puzzling cold case. With a dangerous killer on their tail, Helena and Trevor must unravel the mysteries…

I have enjoyed the Colorado K-9 Unit series and Hunting an Arsonist by Jessica R. Patch is a fantastic story from start to finish! I love that the heroine, Helena Rutherford, is a forensic mechanic. Jessica Patch always has the most interesting occupations for her characters. Someone is targeting Helena and Officer Trevor Slate steps in. Evidence suggests her family and past may intersect with his current case of investigating a string of arsons.

I love intricate plot lines with lots of action, and Hunting an Arsonist doesn’t disappoint. Filled with over-the-top danger, this story has the hero and heroine running for their lives. But the story unfolds slow enough for both Helena and Trevor to heal from their past. Trevor is facing tremendous loss, and Helena grapples with her tragic family history.

Definitely get your copy of Hunting an Arsonist for an emotional roller-coaster ride on top of the plot twists. I listened to the audio version, and thought it only enhanced the story! Great narration.
